Freedom to operate check - looking for a sparring partner

We are in the process of checking the freedom to operate/ the patent landscape of a repurposed drug. We notice there are a lot of different patents on the compound (some being inactive, some still being active). Do we have a patent attorney or someone with expertise in our network that could help elucidating? We also contacted a commercial office but we would like to spare with an independent party (preferably non-commercial).

Thanks in advance!

Greetings!

Have you already looked at the page of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO in Dutch)? Patent information for small and medium-sized businesses | RVO.nl
You might consider contacting one of their patent advisors for advice. I’m not sure if they offer specific guidance for pharmaceutical patents. And I’m curious if others have any other suggestions!

Yes RVO octrooicentrum is a relevant non-commercial option.
TTO departments of hospitals should also be able to support.

We had a pleasant exploratory meeting with RVO (Britta Helwig) today. They offer free advisory meetings and a free novelty search (up to 20 hours) per project. Additionally, they are interested in collaborating more frequently with university medical centers and are open to giving workshops on patents (or specific questions)—so if there is interest, potentially also at one of our RARE-NL meetings.
