As funding of therapy development on infectious disease is a challenge we would like to get insight into available opportunities, specifically focused on infectious disease, so we can approach these parties in a collaborative effort (InFECT-NL). In useful links we made a start. Please add your suggestions and tips and tricks how to maximize the chance of getting funding/financial support.
Hi Benien,
In the AMR space, INCATE could be a useful community for support and early financing. Perhaps the AMR action fund and BI ventures could be interesting instruments
Thanks for your suggestions @Youri do you know Dutch parties that managed to get investments from these initiatives? They might be useful as examples for others.
INCATE (INCubator for Antibacterial Therapies in Europe). Access to a community of engaged individuals across industry, academia, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, public health and healthcare providers to share ideas and fight drug-resistant bacterial infections together. And funding up to ā¬250,000 in non-dilutive funding will be provided to selected projects to help answer critical questions needed to develop business and translational plans to convince investors at the next funding stage INCATE - Supporting innovators to fight drug-resistant infections
I see that The AMR Action Fund makes equity investments in small and mid-size biotech companies that are developing antimicrobial therapeutics for WHO and CDC priority pathogens Our Investments in AMR Research.
As far as I know, SurvivX has a partnership. Other Dutch parties Iām not aware of.
